gmtp software package provides simple MP3 player client for MTP based devices, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gmtp
gmtp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gmtp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gmtp *
You will get with gmtp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
